Today we’re visiting the Wisconsin studio where Nivek commits radio, both on his own program on Sundays and Wednesdays and during the Music and Malarkey Morning Show with Casey and Tom Weeden. Like many of us on the WLHA staff, Nivek has collected an impressive array of stray equipment over the years. Notice the Teac reel machine, the Technics turntable and the very impressive 1960s frequency counter rescued from the junk pile at WISC-TV. The crazy part about doing this kind of radio is that no matter what’s on this side of the mic, it comes out sounding more or less the same from every studio, which is what makes looking behind the scenes so fascinating. Thanks for inviting us into your lair!
